Mark was born and raised in Mānoa Valley. He spent his early twenties dancing hula with Hālau o Kekuhi in Hilo, which he credits with awakening his sense of respect for both home and ingredients. Despite the national acclaim his work has garnered, his focus remains being a husband, a father to his two daughters, and building community through food.
Mark and his wife Amanda Corby Noguchi formed Pili Group in 2012. Mark is the proud father of two daughters.
